Screening & Assessments

Screening is a first step in identifying children who may be at risk of future difficulty in performing daily tasks and those who may have special needs.

Child Screening provides us with a better understanding of the needs and struggles of a child and enables us to identify the developmental status of the child in the areas of social skills, academic skills, and self-help skills.

Because screening is intended as a first step in determining needs of children, they usually have very low predictive power. They only provide information about which children need further assessment with diagnostic measures. Screening alone is not sufficient for decisions about a child's placement or kind of instruction. Further assessment is necessary for a more accurate description.

We also provide an overall Developmental Assessment to identify areas of weakness or strength in your child and whether or not their performance level is same with their peers or delayed. Contact us for more information.
